Continental League Games April 19th

The Cattle Barons and Model Ts locked horns in a titanic struggle 17 inning struggle that saw the Model T's come back in the 9th inning to send it to extras.  The Barons finally took the lead in the 17th after Detroit had used every pitcher on the roster and only Dizzy Dean remained.  Even with two runs scored against them, Detroit fought back gamely, scoring one run and leaving two men on the basepaths as Hugh Duffy who had already notched two hits and stole a base hit into a game ending double play.  In other action the White Bears rallied for two in the bottom of the 9th for a comeback win over Nashville as Max Carey hit a bases loaded single.  Finally, the River Captains notched a 4-1 win over cellar dwelling Cincinnati.
