| The Model Ts battled back, and tied it up in the 9th. Each team had their chances in extra innings. I think the Ts were too quick to pinch hit for their pitchers, and had only a tired Dean to resort to in the end. Still, they nearly managed to tie it in the bottom of the 17th, and had runners at the corners with only one out when Duffy hit into a 1-6-3 game ending DP. |

41,191 fans watched an exciting game at Navin Field. The Kansas City Cattle
Barons topped the Detroit Model Ts by the slimmest of margins, 5 to 4.
Both teams were tied at 3 runs apiece after nine innings. Kansas City was
victorious in the 17th inning. Edd Roush led off and he delivered a single.
Chuck Klein next to the plate and he lined a base-hit. Hack Wilson then
smacked a single. Dizzy Dean then picked Wilson off first base. After an
out was recorded, Buck Ewing came up and he laced a single. Kansas City had
17 hits overall, while Detroit had 13.
Leon Day(2-2) was the winner allowing 1 run in 2 innings. Dean(1-3) took the
loss in relief. He gave up 4 hits and no walks in 2 innings.
