Continental League Games April 8th

The Cattle Barons and Model Ts swept their series with the Beergardners and White Bears.  Juan Marichal got the win for KC as Amos Russie again had trouble in relief.  In Chicago, Detroit managed the win despite mustering fewer hits than the 0-3 White Bears.  Finally, Nashville and St. Louis were deadlocked into extra innings, when the River Captains were forced to turn to tired opening day starter, Cy Young, who was hit hard in relief, notching his second loss of the young season.  Ted Williams, the Commodores newest acquisition arrived too late to play due to a late train arriving in St. Louis.
