Continental League Games April 7th

Detroit moved to 2-0, but lost starting pitcher Dave Wickware in the first inning due to injury.  A 10th inning home run from Mickey Mantle, however, put them over the top.  The Cattle Barons dominated the Beergardners again behind a strong outing from starter Robin Roberts.  Newly acquired Beergardner Amos Russie gave up two runs in relief.  Wild Bill Wright went 4 for 4 in leading the River Captains to victory, giving them a split in their series with the Commodores.
