Federal League Games April 11th

Babe Ruth's bat came alive as he belted 2 home runs and Smokey Joe Wood threw 10 strikeouts in the Senators rout of the Pittsburgh Grays at Griffith Stadium.  In New York, Mule Suttles had a similar performance in the Knights 9-3 dismantling of the Pilgrims.  The New Orleans' 3-2 win over Philadelphia was a more subdued but no less exciting affair as Philadelphia managed to tie the game in the 9th, only to see the Jazz Kings answer in the bottom of the frame with a walk off single up the middle by catcher Louis Santop.
